Sooner or later, antiques collectors run out of places to display their finds. Some set up shop, sell online or venture into smaller collectibles. Artist Shari Replogle has done all of the above.

First she began selling her large collection of colorful transfer-ware china at antiques shows in Burlington and Lawrenceburg. Through Staffordshire Garden Designs, Replogle marketed online tea cup nightlights and broken china jewelry.

Today she dips into her archive of old sheet music, crumbling books and antique lace to assemble tiny collages framed in soldered silver. Now diminutive charms and pendants overshadow antique china sales thanks to a loyal knot of returning customers.

Last year she offered her line at Ryle High School's selective Arts and Crafts Show.

There's national recognition as well. Somerset Studio publications have featured her work in several issues.

Accent a wool sweater with a scrap of vintage lace or softly hued antique wallpaper graphics under glass. All pendants and charms are two-sided, outlined in a narrow rectangular frame of soldered sterling ($12.95).

Add broken china fragments to bracelets or simple neck chains for wearable antiques ($22.50). Look for pieces with Swarovsky crystal beads and sterling silver findings.

Collages showcase Replogle's creativity as she pairs black and white vintage photos with witty quips.

Old holiday postcards provide tiny images for collectible, one-of-a-kind charms featuring sweet Christmas greetings ($12.95).

Trim the tree with antique Christmas assemblages under beveled glass ($12.95 to $30).

Learn to frame your own collages Dec. 5 with Replogle's Soldered Pendant Class. (The Union Bead Boutique, 1597 Cavalry Drive, Union, 859-384-8785, $45).

Or select from more than 500 Staffordshire Garden offerings at the annual Ryle High School Arts and Crafts Show, Friday (Preview Party) and Saturday.

Stop by Panera Bread in Florence (7150 Houston Road, 859-371-9010) from 3:30 to 8:30 Dec. 6 for an informal trunk show. Ask about special orders.
